We believe every senior deserves the love of a pet and every pet, a safe and caring home. At Seniors and Paws, we support this bond with heart, compassion, and hands on help when it's needed most.
To deliver comprehensive support for senior residents, focusing on low-income individuals, veterans, and those with disabilities, across the southwest region of Pennsylvania. We are committed to ensuring that their pets receive adequate nutrition, medical care, and ongoing care in the event of the owner's incapacity or death.
A society where senior citizens can enjoy the companionship of their pets without the burden of financial or logistical challenges, ensuring the well being of both the seniors and their beloved pets.
Every day we work to ensure no senior has to choose between their well being and their pet’s. We are advocates, caregivers, mental health supporters, and animal lovers united to bring love, care, and companionship to those who need it most.
Since I was a kid, I've had all sorts of pets from lab mice to monkeys, dogs, birds, chickens, and even hamsters. No matter the species, they've always been my quirky, lovable companions and emotional lifelines in the craziest of times!
Family: Pepe and Abby
Every moment in life should be accompanied by a being that helps you, cares for you, and spoils you. The key is to have a sense of home in the relationship. There's nothing more precious than coming home after a day of work and seeing how happy they are to see you, no matter what
Family: Buddy and Romeo
At my core, I have always been drawn to connection to making people feel seen, valued, and less alone. Pets have a special way of doing this, and I’ve witnessed how their presence can heal hearts, bring laughter, and fill silence with love. For me, being part of this mission is deeply personal: it’s about honoring the bond that gives so many seniors comfort, joy, and purpose. I believe companionship, whether from people or pets, is what makes life truly meaningful.
At 52, I have been blessed to share my life with six beloved dogs: Katina, Niño, Bossy, Noemi, Kyra, and Ole. Each brought unique joy and love, enriching my journey profoundly. Katina's loyalty, Niño's playfulness, Bossy's bravery, Noemi's gentleness, Kyra's energy, and Ole's comfort filled my life with affection and happiness, teaching me the true meaning of unconditional love and companionship.
At Seniors and Paws, our mission goes beyond care it’s about connection and mental well being.
As we grow, so does our purpose:
To support older adults and their beloved pets not only with physical and medical care, but also with emotional healing and mental health support. Behind every bowl of food or vet visit, there’s a story of love, of companionship, and sometimes, of grief and anxiety.
Many of the seniors we serve live with loneliness, loss, or the fear of what might happen to their pets if they can no longer provide care.
That’s why we go beyond practical help we offer peace of mind, comfort, and emotional support. We create spaces where care becomes community, where mental health is prioritized, and where life feels lighter with a furry friend by your side.
From the heart of Southwest Pennsylvania, we’re building more than a program we’re nurturing a compassionate network where every senior and every pet is seen, supported, and deeply valued.
